This is the book launch! July 13 at 10:30 a.m. at the state museum. All I can say about the parking situation is to either get there way early or just resign yourself to parking in one of the state lots and don’t bother to try to park at the farmer’s market.
Dr. Learotha Williams Jr. will be discussing the book with me. Lea is one of, if not the, best historian in Nashville. And every time I got a file or a piece of information that made me concerned to be the only person who had it, I sent it to him at his TSU email account so that I, he, and some state server would all have it. If it had anything to do with Z. Alexander Looby, I also sent it to Special Collections at Fisk, since they hold Looby’s papers. The nice thing about sharing information with Lea is that, if he didn’t already know it, then I knew no one knew it.
I’m recording the audiobook this week and using that as a last chance to proofread the text yet again. Then next week, the book goes to the printer.
I’ll be participating in this thing over at Art & Soul on May 3. I’ll be talking about history and hauntings and mediums and Donald Davidson and how all that pertains to writing. I hope it will be interesting.
